To film his part in 2011’s Priest, actor Christopher Plummer had to be filmed while high intensity lights were pointed at him in order to mimic the appearance of a computer graphic. When Plummer complained and suggested that director Scott Charles Stewart simply use CGI to complete the effect, the director revealed that he had no plans to use CGI at all. Stewart was ultimately successful, and the finished film does not contain a single computer generated graphic.
